Comment Devenir Adulte

Oleanna Burr 9 décembre, 2024 Comment devenir adulte Il me manque, mon enfance.

Fashionable Sustainability

March 5, 2024 Promoting Ethical and Sustainable Clothing Consumption: The Struggle of a Consumeristic Society Did you know that in 2019, the fashion industry was responsible for 10% of total carbon emissions? The role of ethics, sustainability, and diversity in the world of fashion are being reevaluated, and we must strive to become agents of change in a disgustingly consumeristic society. The world of fashion may appear to be glamorous, but there are many hidden aspects that we are just starting to discover. The issues surrounding sustainability and ethical practices in the world of fashion are relatively recent, as fast fashion began to emerge in the 1990’s. Looking past the complex and idealistic notions and endeavoring to find meaning in simplicity is how we will discover effective solutions. The significant link between these three pillars, sustainability, ethics, and diversity is illustrated by the complexities in the fashion industry. In order to make our way towards complet...

Victorian Fashion

Victorian Fashion Era Written Report Political Events During the Victorian Era (1850-1901), there were many political events that altered the course of fashion. In Canada, some notable events are the Fraser River Gold Rush, the Great Reform Convention, the British North America Act, and the Klondike Gold Rush. The Fraser River Gold Rush was a monumental occasion in British Columbian history, when in 1858 around 30,000 miners arrived at the Fraser River in search of gold. Sadly, this significant event led to violent conflicts and war with the indigenous people who lived there. The gold rush affected fashion by allowing countless new miners, of Californian, American, Chinese, Hawaiian, and AfricanAmerican descent to portray different fashion trends and bring current ideas with them. Concerned about potential unrest and danger emerging from the gold rush, the government of Canada hurried to establish British Columbia, then known as New Caledonia, as a colony. A notable conflict to e...

Reasoning

Hey guys, you might be wondering why exactly I started this blog. I talked a bit about different forms of media preservation and other stuff, but I wanted to dive a bit deeper. Firstly, I want to develop my competency in journalism. I’ve done some research about fashion journalism, and I want to keep up with English and hopefully get more passionate about the subject. Also, I am trying to reverse my phone addiction… by finding alternate means of entertainment! Blogging can be serious but it can also just be for fun, and it’s a great positive that it gets me off my phone! (Well actually I am writing this on my phone but at least it’s not just scrolling). Lastly, I want to find and develop a community of girls who are on a continuous journey for self improvement. How do you be more whimsical and intelligent? One thing you can do is to start a blog. Peace out, Oleanna xoxo

Introduction

Hi guys! My name is Oleanna and this is my blog. I’ve always been interested in different ways of media preservation, whether that be physical or digital! I collect lots off stuff to make scrapbooks, but I also like to record stuff digitally, like on this blog! This blog will most likely be a record of events, advice, stories that I want to share, and maybe other inspiration or ideas. I want to connect with people all over the world, (I live in Canada!) bring back blog culture, and hopefully entertain some people! Thanks for reading my first post!
